Just passed the CompTIA Security+ (SY0-201) exam on 12/03/09 with an 850 out of a possible 900.
Used a book, Testout.com's updated CBT's /Testout labsim for Security+ and some notes, etc to study and pass.
Spent over 60 hours studing for this one but glad to have it completed.
Hate to say it but the testout questions were actually better tests of your knowledge of the info that want I believe the CompTIA exam really had. The actually exam questions were very poorly worded I thought.
This is my (3) CompTIA exam and I have yet to be impressed with the quality if the tests or the graphics used in the tests for the A+ exams (I.E. What is this cable used for and they show you a very poor scanned copy of a 25 pin printer cable end).
Forgot to mention. This cert has been made a job requirement for my position on a Gov (Military) contract where we deal with database severs on the LAN's worldwide.
